A pierced ear is a nice accent piece. Although with a new piercing you may have some minor discomfort. Here are some quick tips on easing your pain. These have helped many people.

So you new ear piercing is a little sore here is what you should NOT do. Stay away from hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol. These slow down new skin cell growth. Don’t use ointments these attract dust and create a seal around the sore spot that slows oxygen that aids in healing. Do use a salt soak method. Get the area of the ring or stud cleaned without trouble. Use teaspoon of table or sea salt in eight onces of warm water. This should help ease the pain.

Remember keep your piercings clean. This is a well known way to avoid soreness and infections with any piercing. Do use a mild antiseptic like bactine. Or a good liquid antibacterial soap can work as well. If it is to harsh dilute the soap and water mixture to about a 50, 50 mix. This will go a long way in easing the soreness in your new ear piercing.

Two or three times a day saturate a cotton swab with the cleaning solution. Apply this to the pierced area and let it soak in for a three to five minutes.
